Using melody loops in today’s world of music production has become a standard industry practice, as it can give producers a much-needed spark of inspiration and projects get finished sooner.
All of our loops are exported at 24-bit and recorded at 48 kHz to give you the producer headroom to mix and edit at your choosing.
Are your Melody Loops royalty-free?
This is a question we get a lot and the answer is yes, our melody loops and indeed any of our sample packs are 100% royalty-free. Once you have purchased a pack you are granted a license to use the samples in what ever way you please. The only thing you can’t do is resell them in your own sample packs.

What genre are your melody loops intended for?
We produce melody loops for a variety of different genres including trap, lo-fi, hip hop, Chill hop and many more. We do however like to concentrate on anything chill.
What instruments do your samples include?
All of our loop packs include samples which feature many different instruments, including:

How long are your melody loops?
Typically the length of our melody loops differs but in most cases we like to keep the length of any loop to at least 8 to 16 bars, this means that you can use them to effortlessly create the foundational structure of your beat.
What keys do your melodies use?
We don’t stick to any particular keys for our melody packs. Most lo-fi is in a minor key, so we do use a lot of minor keys, but in general every pack will have varying differences.

We include a variety of different file types in every melody sample pack, these include:
We do this to ensure that you have as much creative freedom as you can and so that creating beats in the studio is as much of an enjoyable experience as we think it should be.
What BPM do your sample use?
We use a wide range of different BPM’s in every sample pack we release. Fast or slow it doesn’t matter to us. For Your Local Musician it’s all about feel.
But to be more specific, if you want to create a track that is between 60 and 170 BPM you’ll find plenty of quality options here.
Do you have a collection I could buy all at once?
We have put together a collection of bundles that include thousands of sounds for you to choose from at convenient prices:

Will these sounds work with my set up?
Every major DAW is compatible with the file types we have listed above, so I have no doubt in our samples being compatible with your system.
What DAW systems are these loops compatible with?
Files from any of sample packs will be compatible with any modern digital audio workstation, such as Ableton Live, FL Studio Logic and more, as long as you can import WAV files and MP3 files you will be able to use our melody loops.
What if I want to buy a single Melody Loop?
Whilst we are working, incorporating this into our site across all of our sample packs, we currently only offer singular purchases or our loops on sample packs such as Pick ‘n’ Mix.
Can your loops be used in commercial productions?
You can use our loops in whichever way you please, this includes commercial productions, placements with big companies or artists, or even use one our loops in your song that you release for streaming.
The only thing we prohibit is reselling our samples in your own packs.
